Remember April 19, 1995

Today is April 19th. Not just another spring morning in Oklahoma City. 15 years ago the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building was destroyed by a terrorist bombing. 168 innocent people died, Oklahoma City was changed forever.

In 2000 a beautiful memorial was erected on the building site. The memorial was designed by my friend and colleague Hans Butzer and his wife Torrey. Here are a few sketches I have done over the years of the memorial.

  1. Very worthwhile post, Geoff. It's important that we never forget, and I'm glad that the memorial continues to teach. Someday I'd like to visit the site and make some sketches of my own.
